Lord Brabazon was actually an important pioneer in aviation. He was instrumental in the revival of the British civilian airliner industry following WWII, and was also responsible for the development of the Bristol Brabazon , the largest airplane ever built solely in the UK. Despite its size, the Brabazon only held 100 passengers, because each was given a berth similar in size to one you might find on an overnight train. They only built one, though.

I knew he was basically the pioneer of powered flight to Britain, but did not know his role beyond that. Fun stuff

Well, “powered flight” is a stretch, but he is the one who realized that all of England’s efforts had been toward making warplanes, and he recognized the need for large civilian aircraft when the war was over.
